![]() ![]() Use your Stasis: It’s strong, especially when upgraded. ![]() Focus on Damage upgrades, treating Reload and Capacity of secondary importance. I find that a two weapon loadout is ideal, since you will get deeper into the upgrades and have less inventory clutter (Ripper Blade, Contact Energy, etc). Each new gun costs ~10,000 credits, and that’s one more Power Node you could have bought. My chief suggestion is simply to take it slow and avoid purchasing too many weapons. Ammo Drops on Impossible are usually 3 for the Plasma Cutter shots, 25 for the Pulse Rifle, and 1-2 for the Line Gun. The game is entirely winnable with just the Plasma Cutter, but the Pulse Rifle and Line Gun make excellent back-up weapons. As long as you’re not trying to play the game with the Flamethrower as your primary, you’re going to be fine. You can always pause and reset to your last check-point if you think you’ve wasted too much ammo / health on a specific encounter, but you really don’t need to worry. There are a few gauntlets and encounters that will give you some trouble, but if you’re planning on replaying it after completion, you’ll have a good sense of what you need to prepare for the tough segments.ĭead Space 1’s hardest difficulty is also the easiest of the trilogy. It’s not bad at all, especially considering that Dead Space has both Save Stations and Check Points. I've maximised the Cutter and soon the Pulse Rifle, and I'm about to upgrade the Air & Life of The RIG.īut yeah, what's making the mode "Impossible" and what would be some good tips? I recently switched the ripper for the Pulse Rifle cause I like it way more than the Ripper.Īlso what would be good tips for Impossible mode? I have decent aiming skills, I rarely use Stasis unless I really have to (which I haven't, only for the puzzles so far), I use Kinetic relatively much. And through out my playthrough I've mostly used the Plasma Cutter, and the Line Cutter when low or out of Plasma, sometimes the ripper if I'm out of both. I haven't looked up anything about the mode, I've just been thinking of it when playing through the game. Like is ammo almost non existant and you have to rely more on stores? And I'd assume that credits are also heavily reduced so you have to be more conservative? Is there a reason why I should play Hard mode instead of Impossible? Like what's making the mode so "Impossible"? And I'm thinking of jumping straight into Impossible mode after my current playthrough (Medium difficulty), and I'm wondering just how Impossible the mode is. So currently I'm on chapter 7 and I'm absolutely having a blast playing the game. ![]()
